• You will receive 1-10 jars of honey from your godparent apiary, and you can personalize the label!

• SHIPPING COSTS to Finland. If you order other products to be shipped immediately, we will charge an additional €6.90 shipping fee for orders under €50. Shipping charges will be included with your order invoice.

I don’t know the recipient’s address, phone number, or email?
Give your details and order the certificate for yourself. Send the missing information later. An email address is enough for us to send the certificate to the recipient. We will inquire about missing information if it is not received by spring.

What should I do if I order, e.g., 3 bee nests?
You can write the delivery addresses for the different recipients in the additional information field in the shopping cart. Alternatively, you can send them to mesi@hunajalahde.com.

What personalized information can be added to the certificate?
The recipient’s name(s), and possible wishes, e.g., "Happy Birthday! From Ulla."

Can I print the certificate myself from the email?
Yes, it will come as a PDF file that you can print with a color printer. Using, for example, 160g/m2 paper will give it a very festive touch.

What paper do you use to print the certificate?
We use 160g/m2 paper.

Are there any restrictions on the godparent honey labels?
The maximum length is about 50 characters.

Can I send my own photo for the labels and get different names on each jar?
Yes, you can send your photo to mesi@hunajalahde.com. You can have different names on each jar if you wish.

I forgot to enter the recipient’s details in the order, what should I do?
No problem! Send the details to mesi@hunajalahde.com. We check every order, and if information is missing, we will ask the subscriber via email.

Can I specify an exact time for the certificate delivery?
Yes, the certificate can be delivered by email to the recipient with minute precision. The delivery time can be up to 12 months in advance. If sent by letter, postal delay is 4 weekdays.

What is the fastest possible delivery time for the certificate?
The certificate can be sent as quickly as 30 minutes after the order is placed. Ask for expedited delivery in the chat. There are no additional costs for expedited delivery.

Will the recipient receive any information about the order before the certificate is sent?
No, the subscriber will receive the order confirmation.

How does the subscriber know if the recipient has received the certificate?
The subscriber will receive a copy of the sent certificate by email at the same time.

How long are the videos and how many will there be during the summer season?
The videos are about 2-10 minutes long, and there will be approximately 13-15 videos during the care season.

Will my inbox get flooded with videos?
No, you will receive a link to a YouTube channel where you can watch the videos. You will need an internet connection.

What do the videos contain?
The videos show the life of the bees from early spring to late autumn. You will see how the beekeeper takes care of your godparent apiary/hive and what plants your godparent honey mainly comes from. You’ll see the journey of the honey to your table, narrated and filmed by the beekeeper.
After this, you will know much more about modern beekeeping. You will know the origin of your honey with 100% certainty. The videos are suitable for both children and adults.

Can I order this to EU countries?
Yes, select "PACKAGE DELIVERY TO EU COUNTRIES" in the shopping cart.

Can I order other products with the same order?
Yes, but if the additional products are worth less than €50, we will charge an additional €6.90 shipping fee. You will receive an invoice with the shipping charges.

When will the honeys be shipped?
The honeys will be shipped by the end of October 2025.

Can I get the fall honey in runny, soft, or hard form?
Yes, you can specify your preference in the additional information field. Crystallized honeys will be delivered about two weeks later than the runny honey. The honey will be delivered in runny form unless otherwise specified.

Can there be multiple godparents for one hive?
Yes, up to 50% of the hive’s honey can be sold as godparent honey.

Are bee nests sold year-round?
The 2025 bee nests are available until the end of July 2025. If you want a different delivery, just mention it in the order, and it can be arranged.

OUR HONEY FARM:

We are a two-person family business located in Lapinlahti, in the Upper Savo region. We have been operating for two generations, with Karin’s father, Erkki Lappi, starting beekeeping in 1976. He was awarded the prestigious title of "Beekeeper of the Year" in 2013.

Although our honey is delicious, pollination is still the most valuable product of the bees. The value of pollination is many times greater than the value of the honey crop. According to estimates, insects pollinate 80% of the world’s plant species, while the rest are wind- or self-pollinated. Beekeeping is an effective way to promote biodiversity. Our beehives are used for pollinating strawberries, boysenberries, and raspberries at berry farms in Lapinlahti. Additionally, our bees are used in controlling gray mold by spreading biological control agents on strawberry and raspberry flowers. The bees fly about 2 km from the hive, so there are a huge number of plants pollinated during the summer. Honey production and pollination together reduce greenhouse gases by 0.7 kg CO2eq/honey kg, according to research.

We currently have about 20 apiaries located within a 20 km radius of Lapinlahti.

All our apiaries meet organic regulations based on their locations.
